A five-minute tour
The whole workflow, first scan to signed inventory, in six steps, with links to the deeper how-tos.
This is the shape of the whole app, from starting a move to a signed, exported inventory. It mirrors the in-app How to Use guide (find it in Settings › Help and from the empty Jobs screen). Each step links to a deeper article.
The rule behind everything: No item, no size, and no damage code lands on the inventory until a person confirms it. Keep that in mind for every step below.
1. Start a job
In the Jobs tab, tap + and enter the shipper, order number, and addresses. Everything you capture belongs to your company and syncs to the whole crew, offline first, so a dead spot on-site never stops you.
See Create a new job.
2. Walk and talk a room
Open the job, tap Scan a room (LiDAR), pick the room, and walk slowly so the scanner sees the walls and the furniture. Say what you see. Each item appears as a card over the camera. Tap Add to put it in the room, tap the card to fix it, or ✕ to drop it.
- Say "Oak dresser" and you get one card, marked MEASURED when LiDAR sized it or EST. when the size is a catalog figure.
- Say "Six dining chairs" and you get six pieces, each numbered at import.
- The camera button on a card photographs damage without leaving the scan.
Nothing you say is added by itself. Every card waits for your tap, and the review screen after Finish Scan is the final check.
3. Damage codes in 30 seconds
A code is where + what: a location number (1 to 19) plus a condition symbol. No location means the whole item. For example, "3 SC" is Corner + Scratched, "6 CH" is Leg + Chipped, and "SC" on its own means the whole item is scratched.
Say it, or tap it in the item editor. Either way, a code only lands after you confirm it, and AI photo suggestions are labeled and always need your OK.
Important: An un-noted scratch becomes a claim at delivery. When in doubt, code it and photograph it.
4. More ways to add items
LiDAR isn't the only way in:
- Photograph items shoots a room; with AI on, it drafts the list it sees. Sizes are estimates until you confirm or scan.
- Dictate items lets you talk through a list without scanning.
- Add item picks from the catalog. The Boxes tab has the standard cartons with the CP / PBO toggle (carrier-packed vs packed-by-owner).
See Choosing a capture method.
5. Review, import, and packing
After Finish Scan, check every line before it lands. A line marked "Confirmed during walk" is one you already OK'd; a "heard, not confirmed" line arrives unchecked, so you include it or drop it. Confirmed cartons show up on the job under Packing materials, totaled by size, straight off the inventory.
6. Finalize and export
Every item carries a permanent inventory number, the identifier in any claim. Retire a stickered item with Void (its number stays on record); Delete is only for mistakes that were never tagged.
- Finalize & sign captures the customer's signature and locks the inventory read-only.
- Export PDF prints the full descriptive inventory with your company's branding, condition photos, and signature.
The exported inventory is an official record of the move.
See Finalize and sign the inventory and Export the inventory PDF.
