Sharing and printing

Send the exported inventory to the customer, save it to Files, or print it, all from the iOS share sheet.

When you export the inventory, Van Line Pro hands the finished PDF to the standard iOS share sheet. From there you can email or message it to the customer, save it, or print it, using whatever your device has set up.

Open the share sheet

The share sheet opens automatically at the end of an export. To export, open the job, tap the options menu (•••, top right), and tap Export PDF. See Export the inventory PDF.

What you can do from here

The options depend on what's installed and signed in on the device. Common ones:

Action What it does
AirDrop Send the PDF to a nearby Mac, iPhone, or iPad.
Mail Attach the PDF to a new email to the customer.
Messages Text the PDF to the customer.
Save to Files Save the PDF to iCloud Drive or on-device Files.
Print Send the PDF to an AirPrint printer.
Notes Attach the PDF to a note.

Email the customer

  1. On the share sheet, tap Mail.
  2. Add the customer's email address, adjust the subject or message, and send.

Tip: The file is already named with the shipper and order number ({LastName}-{FirstName}-{OrderNumber}-Inventory.pdf), so the customer's copy arrives clearly labeled.

Print

  1. On the share sheet, tap Print.
  2. Pick your AirPrint printer, set copies and options, and print.

Note: Printing uses iOS AirPrint. If no printer appears, make sure it's on the same network and supports AirPrint. You can also Save to Files and print later from a computer.

Good to know

  • Share before or after signing. You can send a working copy any time; after finalizing, the shared PDF includes the customer's signature.
  • Match paper to the printer. Set your export paper size (Letter or A4) to match your printer in company settings. See Paper size & photos.
