Add from the catalog

Search a standard household-goods list, tap to add with cube and weight pre-filled, and commit a whole batch at once.

The catalog is the fast, on-site way to add items you already recognize. Search a standard list of household goods, tap to add, bump quantities inline, and commit the whole batch at once. Each catalog pick fills in its name, category, typical cube, and derived weight, so you never type a measurement on site. It works on every device, no camera or LiDAR needed.

Who this is for: Crew and estimators.

Open the catalog

From a room, tap Add item. The catalog opens as a sheet titled Add to [Room] (or Add items when no room is set), with the search field focused and ready.

Search or browse

  • Search by typing in Search items…. Results rank prefix matches first and show a count, e.g. "6 results." Clear the field with the ✕ to go back to browsing.
  • Browse with the tab bar (shown when the search field is empty):
    • Typical — the items crews tag on nearly every job.
    • All — the full catalog, grouped into labeled sections (Living & Dining, Bedroom, Appliances & Laundry, Kitchen, Electronics & Office, Decor & Lighting, Garage/Outdoor & Sports, Cartons & Boxes, Other).
    • Boxes — the standard packing cartons. See Boxes & cartons.
    • Favorites — your saved go-to items.

Each row shows the item's cube and weight, e.g. "30 ft³ · 210 lbs."

Add and set quantities

  • Tap a row (or its + button) to add one. The row highlights and a quantity stepper appears.

  • Adjust the count with the − and + stepper (up to 30 per line).

A running total is always visible in the bottom commit bar: the item count, the total cube, and the total weight, e.g. "2 items · 80 ft³ · 480 lbs." Tap Add to commit the whole batch to the room. Each picked piece is added as its own individually numbered item, so a quantity of 2 creates two numbered pieces.

Favorites

Swipe a row from the left to Favorite it (swipe again to Unfavorite). Favorited rows show a star and appear on the Favorites tab for one-tap adding on future jobs. Favorites are remembered on the device across jobs.

Note: When the Favorites tab is empty it explains: "Swipe an item to favorite it. Favorites show here for one-tap adding."

Custom items

If a piece isn't in the catalog:

  • From a search with no match, tap Add "[your text]" as a custom item. The screen shows "No catalog match for '[your text]'" with that button.
  • Any time, tap Custom in the top toolbar.

Either way, the catalog closes and the Item Editor opens on a new, blank item in that room, where you set the name, category, cube, and anything else by hand.

Good to know

  • Cube values are catalog estimates. They're industry cube-sheet averages, a starting point, not a measurement of your specific piece. Correct the cube in the editor, or re-measure with a LiDAR scan, when exact size matters.
  • Weight is derived from cube and the item's category (a few outliers like mattresses and safes carry their own density). See Categories & how weight is estimated.
  • Catalog items land with source "Catalog." You can change anything about them afterward in the editor.
