• Why damage accuracy mattersThe exported inventory is an official legal record. An un-noted scratch becomes a claim, a fabricated one is worse, and every code waits for a person to confirm it.
• How damage codes workA damage code is where the damage is plus what it is: a location symbol (1–19) and a condition code, read as one line like Top, Corners: Scratched, Chipped.
• Build a condition lineRecord pre-existing damage in the Item Editor: pick where it is, pick what it is, and save each condition as a readable line like Top, Corners: Scratched, Chipped.
• How AI damage suggestions workWhen AI photo analysis is on, the app can suggest pre-existing damage from an item's photos. You review every suggestion, and nothing is added until you tap Add.
• Photographing damageAttach photos to an item as condition documentation, during a scan or in the Item Editor. Photos back up your codes and feed the inventory's condition-photos appendix.
• Handling symbols and declared valueFlag how a piece is handled with descriptive symbols like High Value or Crate, and record a declared value. These describe the whole item, not a specific defect.
